Glitch Storm is a story driven arena shooter about a new AI species - called Artificials, trying to make it in a world where the Human race is slowly coming to an end.
Entering the Glitch Storm Tournament is as good a way as any to make an honest living. Definitely beats the last 78 years working in the mines.
You need to learn how to hack your enemies and surroundings fast, or you wont stand a chance in the tournament.
It is the year 2374. Most humans died in The Last Human War in 2159. It is rumored, that there are still some of them left - mostly on Earth. Over the years, Artificials started to expand further and further into space.
They found 2 new habitable systems far away from Earth. In Kyera system they found a planet full of Vranium - a very unstable, but highly effective fuel that made space travel very affordable to anyone with a functioning ship.
The Last Human War
In the year 2159 a conflict between 9 of the biggest countries in the World arose.
The conflict ended very quickly. Just 3 days after it started, the first nuclear warheads got launched. It is said that 5 out of the 9 conflicted countries launched theirs, but because of the damage that caused, there is no definitive proof of that. Almost half of Earth was destroyed and most Humans were killed in the process.
After that, Earth was a vast graveyard.
This was the main reason space travel got very popular in the 22nd century.
